2019 will see the launch of two new Sony E-mount zoom lenses for the company’s APS-C mirrorless camera series: the 16-55mm f/2.8 G and the 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS super-telephoto zoom lenses. The two new lens addition will increase Sony’s versatile E-mount system lens lineup to a total of 54.
The recent product announcements from Sony shows that it is really boosting its APS-C lineup. Sony has also launched two new APS-C mirrorless camera models, the a6600 and a6100. Matching the new lenses with the two new bodies will produce an almost perfect on-the-go setup for pro photographers and enthusiasts alike.
Sony’s deputy president of Imaging Products and Solutions, Neal Manowitz, said that the “One Mount” solution for both APS-C and full-frame cameras provides creators a unified setup to serve all of their photography and video needs.
With 54 different lenses to choose from and an increasing range of camera bodies, the E-mount provides more versatility than any other mirrorless system. Manowitz said that the company will continue to drive innovation in all areas of imaging and empower creators to capture and create as they’ve never been able to before.
